Most koi auctions will end on Sundays and Wednesdays. There are some special auctions in the year that end on different days.
We use a helpful bidding system (called proxy bidding) to make bidding on auctions simple and easy. You click the bid button to place a bid after you have signed in. You can place a bid while looking at the individual koi or directly on the koi category page.

Here’s how it works:
- When you place a bid, you enter the maximum amount you’d be willing to pay for this particular bid. Your maximum amount is kept confidential from other bidders.
- The Koi Auction bidding system compares your bid to those of the other bidders.
- The system places bids on your behalf, using only as much of your bid as is necessary to maintain your high bid position. The system will bid up to your maximum amount.
- If another bidder has a higher maximum, you’ll be outbid. BUT, if no other bidder has a higher maximum, you win the Koi. And you could pay significantly less than your maximum price!
When you submit your bid, please make sure you input the right amount. No cancellations are accepted once submitted.
