The All-American Koi Show 2025 (AAKS) was held at the Silverton Casino Lodge in Las Vegas, NV and showcased a dazzling display of passion, art, and aquatic excellence.
Hosted from March 29-30, the event brought together koi enthusiasts, breeders, and hobbyists from across the nation and beyond. With more than 40 competitive tanks, hundreds of world-class Nishikigoi, and an enthusiastic crowd, this year’s show raised the bar once again.
At Kodama Koi Farm we are proud to be among the standout participants, the event was a huge success, with premium selections of Showa, Kohaku, and Sanke koi catching the attention of attendees. The tank drew a steady crowd, many of whom were eager to learn about the rich history and koi-raising philosophy rooted in the traditions of Niigata, Japan.

The koi on display ranged from stunning Gosanke to rare varieties like Shusui, Asagi, and Beni Kikokuryu. Attendees had the opportunity to admire the meticulous care and years of dedication that go into raising champion koi. With tanks organized by size, variety, and class, the judging was intense yet respectful, and the atmosphere buzzed with admiration and camaraderie.
The premium selections of Showa, Kohaku, and Sanke koi made a lasting impression at the event. The tank consistently attracted a steady crowd, with many visitors eager to learn more about the history and koi-raising philosophy deeply rooted in the rich traditions of Niigata, Japan.

Kodama Koi Farm’s Highlights
Led by Taro Kodama, President of Kodama Koi Farm, the team came fully prepared to engage, educate, and inspire. Their booth was not just a display — it was a koi learning hub. From live demonstrations to one-on-one consultations, visitors were immersed in the Kodama experience. Taro Kodama personally hosted a mini-seminar on “Choosing Your First Show-Quality Koi,” which was well-received by newcomers and collectors alike.

One of the most exciting moments for us came during the awards ceremony, when several of our koi were recognized across different size and variety classes. Most notably, a beautifully balanced Sanke from our stock secured the Best in Size 6 award — a proud moment for our team and a true testament to our relentless dedication to quality and koi health.
Connecting with the Koi Community
In addition to the competition, the All-American Koi Show was a fantastic networking opportunity for us. We reconnected with long-time customers, met passionate newcomers, and even engaged with international buyers interested in importing top-tier Japanese koi. Our Hawaii-based distribution model continues to make it easy for koi lovers across the mainland U.S. to access authentic Japanese koi with confidence.
We also made sure to show our support for the broader koi community. We helped sponsor educational signage around the venue and provided resources to clubs and new hobbyists eager to build their first koi ponds. Our commitment to community growth was clear and greatly appreciated by attendees and fellow vendors alike.
A Look Ahead
As the curtains closed on the All-American Koi Show 2025, one thing was clear: the hobby is thriving. With us at Kodama Koi Farm continuing to share our knowledge and raise the standards of koi care and breeding, the future looks bright for Nishikigoi enthusiasts in the U.S. and beyond.
We’re already looking ahead to future events, including our own Koi For Sale Online and Koi Auction Series, as well as upcoming Virtual Farm Tours, offering even more ways to connect with our customers worldwide.
For those who missed the event, the excitement lives on through photos, livestreams, and plenty of koi-loving conversations online. And for those who attended, the memories of shimmering scales, passionate discussions, and the shared love for koi will stay with them long after the tanks have been emptied.
